JDub
Records
JDub Records is a non-profit record label and production company
for new Jewish music. Producing and promoting authentic Jewish
voices in popular culture, JDub fosters positive Jewish identity
and builds community among younger Jews through music and
musical events. JDub launched in December 2002 with Zachor,
a benefit concert in memory of two friends who died in the
terrorist bombing at Hebrew University. The concert helped
raise $22,000 for the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies where
the victims were students. In April, 2004, JDub presented
The Unity Session, a cross-cultural musical dialogue between
Jews and Jamaicans in reggae. Through its events and records,
JDub brings together an incredibly diverse Jewish audience
to share unique, positive Jewish experiences outside of Jewish
institutional spaces.

Limmud NY
Limmud
NY was founded in December 2003 to invigorate, celebrate,
and inspire Jewish life by bringing together Jews from across
a wide spectrum of experiences, ages, and backgrounds for
a three-day retreat of Jewish learning and culture. Participants
will be immersed in the richness and breadth of Judaism through
a wide variety of programming, including text study, poetry,
Israeli politics, philosophy, performance, film, and art.
Limmud NY is driven by the belief that diversity of perspective,
dedication to Jewish learning in its broadest sense, and a
strong sense of volunteerism are keys to engaging and inspiring
Jewish individuals and building and strengthening Jewish community.
The Limmud NY retreat will be held on Martin Luther King Weekend,
January 13-16, 2006 in the Catskill Mountains of New York
State at the Kutsher’s Resort.
